We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Analyst with expertise in Ariba to join our team. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, predominantly remote with occasional in-office commitments in Bolingbrook, IL. General Summary & Scope**
The Procurement Analyst plays a pivotal role in the efficient management of non-merchandise purchases across various business units. Utilizing Ariba B & I and SAP, the Analyst analyzes data, creates purchase orders, and ensures timely execution of procurement activities. This role involves problem-solving to enhance expenditure efficiency, process improvement initiatives, and fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive company savings. **
Principal Duties & Responsibilities**
- Analyze data to generate financial purchase orders or contracts within Ariba B&I, aligning with company accounting policies.
- Prioritize purchasing activities in accordance with company strategies and timelines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness of purchase orders, goods receipt, and invoice processing within Ariba B & I.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes.
- Support the Procurement Department in planning, organizing, and executing purchasing activities.
- Strengthen relationships with suppliers, internal partners, and professional organizations to maximize value for stakeholders.
- Provide purchase order and spend data to Strategic Sourcing Category Managers and internal stakeholders as required.
- Assist in tracking goods/services receipt and timely payment for all purchases.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Ariba Buying and Invoicing and SAP Procurement transactions.
- General understanding of accounting principles and SAP Project Systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to handle and synthesize large volumes of data.
- Strong organizational and influencing abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel preferred.
- Experience in process improvement and project management.
Special Position Requirements
- Occasional travel and overtime may be required.
