POSITION SUMMARY

Velocity Global is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner that will operate as a trusted partner in our EMEA region. This role connects business needs to people and organization activity. This role will work closely with centers of expertise across the global HR Team function for successful delivery of people programs and services. We are seeking someone with a client focus and deep understanding of people's practices in an international environment. The successful candidate thrives in a highly complex and fast-moving environment while maintaining a sense of humor and perspective.

The Senior HR Business Partner serves as a consultant to management on people-related issues, acts as an employee champion and a change agent. The successful candidate maintains an effective level of business literacy about the company’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.

Reporting to Vice President, People & Culture, this role collaborates with a team of HR Business Partners covering 52+ countries. We are looking to fill the position in The Netherlands (Amsterdam), United Kingdom (London) or Ireland (Dublin)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coaches leaders on key people topics such as organization design, change management, people development and leadership capability
  • Works closely with the business to instill a high-performance culture, effectively use metrics, analytics and insights and tailored interventions to drive people performance
  • Partners closely with management to improve work relationships, builds morale, and increases productivity and retention
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues timely and discreetly. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations while balancing advocacy for employees with business priorities
  • Collaborates with Centers of Expertise and within the HR Business Partnering Team to deliver both people and business programs and initiatives across leadership, people development, performance management, change management, talent management, talent acquisition and total rewards
  • Contributes to the wider HR function and client groups by executing best practices that drive employee engagement and a high-performing team that drives business performance

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 7+ years of experience and proven success in an EMEA team-focused people business partner role
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required
  • CIPD / SHRM Certification or equivalent ideal
  • Highly effective communicator with strong coaching skills who relishes the opportunity to be at the forefront of change and continuously adapts accordingly
  • Proven track record of highly effective partnership with stakeholders across the business – HR Team included
  • Deep understanding and empathy for the global diversity of a fully remote and distributed workforce with a People-First philosophy
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative through individual research and drive
  • Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion, sound judgment, and diplomacy
  • Personal effectiveness, credibility, flexibility, and change-management skills
