We are looking for our next superstar Account Executive to join our growing Employee Benefits team! The ideal candidate will have a generalist background with Broker expereince. Must have an active DOI Health insurance license in the state of Colorado, be a self-starter, and flexible. If the below job sounds like a match, we would love to get to know you!
Position Summary
Employee uses their qualifications, experience, expertise, judgment and discretion to obtain, maintain, service, market and grow the insurance business of The Liberty Company. Assists Company clients with obtaining/renewing insurance coverage for Company clients on terms and at prices that are competitive and appropriate. Assists Company in managing all aspects of relationship with clients, including administration, marketing, customer service, and receivables.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Attends client meetings and acts as the primary contact on all group accounts as assigned by Producer.
- Oversees the servicing of a designated book of business as relating to marketing, claims, and administration
- Uses discretion and independent judgment when analyzing industry trends and providing related Client guidance.
- Responsible for acting as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers Responsible for retaining clients through excellent customer service.
- Identifies gaps in coverage or cross-sell opportunities and provides related recommendations to supervisor/Producer
- Supports new client implementations and annual renewals
- Responsible for handling all Account Executive activities with very little support from Producer.
- Acknowledges and responds to any client requests in a timely and prompt manner. Sets timeline expectations with clients if an issue is going to take time to get resolved.
- Educate, advise and be a technical expert for clients on all Compliance topics including, but not limited to, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s and Health Care Reform.
- Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships
- Performs other tasks on projects as needed/assigned to support the overall development and advancement of the Employee Benefits team.
- Updates renewal checklist.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
- Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Five plus years of Benefits experience.
- DOI Health License required.
- Ability to travel as required to satisfy client management responsibilities
- Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Broad knowledge of Health and Welfare compliance and regulations, HIPAA, and pending ACA legislation
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to organize and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail with exceptional level of accuracy.
- Ability to interpret data and make cost effective decisions.
- Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment with deadline pressures.
