About This Position
The Manager, Commercial Strategy role will support a broad range of initiatives related to the definition and implementation of the commercial strategy related to green fuels (green hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, and sustainable aviation fuel), thermal decarbonization, and direct air capture. This position will report to the Director, Strategy and Business Development and work closely with the Origination, Development, and Finance teams.
Overview of Department
Led by the Chief Operating Officer, the Strategy and Business Development team is responsible for defining the commercial and technical strategy for both molecules-and electrons-based products that create new pathways between clean electricity and the broader economy.
Responsibilities and Duties Lead commercial strategy workstreams focused on advancing business opportunities including those related to green fuelsOriginate, structure, and negotiate key agreementsEvaluate bespoke commercial structures and business modelsIdentify insights from techno-economic analysis to inform commercial strategyManage and support key commercial relationships with external counterpartiesDevelop strategic solutions to addressing key commercial challengesCommunicate and support recommendations to the senior management team Collaborate cross-functionally with other departmentsQualifications and Skills 5+ years of working experience in the energy industryExperience with emerging green fuels industrial applications, including transportation (marine, aviation) and other industrial applications.Exposure negotiating and structuring commercial agreements including, but not limited to: letters of intent, joint venture agreements, offtake contracts, gas supply agreements, tolling agreements, etcResults-driven in dynamic and ambiguous environmentsStrong communication, organization, and relationship management skillsAdvanced financial and technical modeling expertiseBachelor's or Master’s Degree in business, economics, math, engineering or related field
