Job Summary:

This position is responsible for developing, communicating, and executing the global category strategy spanning multiple divisions/franchises/locations. Drive compliance to preferred supply base and purchasing channel to realize saving goals. Manages multi-year category plan and respective contracts. Additionally, the Indirect GCMs will be responsible for end to end owner of their strategy and partner closely with the Regional Sourcing Leads to assist regionally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive supplier reduction plan across all regions, track and communicate progress
  • Lead Category Management across all regions
  • Communicate results status on a weekly basis to N+1 with required action plan status when results not at budget
  • Ensure capital improvements actions in line with Indirect Procurement goals
  • Ensure budget saving achievements in line with Global Indirect Procurement budget, build a robust 3 years saving pipeline to mitigate inflation and back up savings that may not be implemented
  • Deploy List of Preferred suppliers and monitor compliance
  • Drive Supplier performance management across all regions and manage directly top 15 Vendors
  • Lead the category with strong leadership and cooperation with RSL, Strategic Buyers, Ops buyers, organizing priorities, tasks, and projects to achieve the category goals and strategy
  • Prepare and execute RFI’s, RFQ’s, e-RFQ’s, auctions and negotiations.
  • Ensure timely and compliant implementation of new contracts and manage supplier agreements through contract life.
  • Identify and drive procurement projects to deliver cost savings and ensure project plans and related savings are documented and maintained in required project/savings tracking tool.
  • Ensure MSA signed with all suppliers with spend > 50 k $ , with rate cards when applicable and proper use of SOW
  • Ensure spend is continuously updated and accurate, lead the process
  • Proactive analysis of market conditions (market trends, macroeconomic indicators, regulatory changes, etc.) and capture best practices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers (strategic vendor management), build improvement roadmaps
  • Communicate regularly on status, goals and objectives with stakeholders using facts and data
  • Build relationships and partner closely with key business stakeholders to understand current and future business requirements, strategy, challenges, opportunities and proactively address them in the Strategy, deploy technological roadmap
  • Deploy together with key stakeholders a solid off-shoring action plan with key vendors
  • Drive Software spend management, trigger decisions to stop or optimize usage
  • Establish, deploy, and implement a multi-years Strategy Plan
  • Communicate overall market & category trends/results to management and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the definition/implementation of best in class tools, procedures, process, spend management & classification, and other projects
  • Hold weekly calls with RSL and Strategic buyers sharing objectives, results status, priorities for the category, tasks assignment
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, IT or other related field
  • 7 years + managing IT Category Globally
  • 5+ years in leading global teams
  • Experience in managing procurement technological changes
  • Experience developing and managing suppliers
  • Experience in building & developing teams

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving capability
  • Able to effectively manage/lead virtual teams
  • Strong IT category knowledge

  • Able to develop strategic, multi-year, multi $M supply relationships
  • Proven track record in delivering cost savings/results
  • Fluent English language skills
