Overview

You will be joining the Client 360 Technology team as a server side / full stack software engineer. You will be instrumental in replacing a legacy technology platform that enables business stakeholders and senior management to identify and manage client performance and profitability. You will apply agile best practices to deliver high quality, well tested code to the Business in frequent releases and be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

The Senior Engineer is responsible for designing and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals; with key responsibilities of this role including ensuring that solutions are well architected, with maintainability and ease of testing built in from the outset, and that they can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop frontend and backend systems., deploy systems to production, define and improve monitoring metrics, participate in on call duties

  • Collaborate with customers to resolve their issues, gather requirements for new features and demonstrate new features to stakeholders

  • Have frequent conversations with users to understand their requirements and bring them along on the strategic transformation

  • Help define and model business user stories, acceptance tests, software design, data modelling, data flow and user interface designs, ongoing improvements to Continuous Integration and automated deployment pipeline

  • Set direction and manage project team to achieve target objectives; Partner with and mentor junior team members and resolve system integration challenges working with other members of the team and external teams 

  • Support user acceptance testing, release planning and co-ordination, user training and assist L1/L2 support in root cause analysis

  • Engage with business and product stakeholders effectively

  • Adopt engineering mindset of Technology, Data, & Innovation (TDI) and mentor team members effectively. Be a role-model

  • Interact with global team leads and collaborate

Skills You’ll Need

  • Experience in software development in the following areas: web and application programming interface (API) development, UX technologies (React), relational databases. Proficiency with Java server stack and understanding of its underlying runtime

  • Experience with relational databases, high proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL)

  • Knowledge of modern frontend development principles, experience with React and Typescript 

  • Experience in behavior driven development (or design) (BDD) based development and understand the value of code quality and test coverage

  • Containerised cloud deployment concepts beneficial e.g. Docker, Kubernetes

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • English language level from Intermediate and higher, strong communication skills 

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $125,000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
